Tasting CharacteristicsTenute Orestiadi Mazal Frappato 2021 captures the essence of Sicilian elegance — a red wine defined by purity, fragrance, and effortless charm. Crafted from hand-harvested Frappato grapes grown in the hills of Gibellina, it expresses a vibrant Mediterranean character with its delicate balance between fruit and freshness. Each sip reveals the bright soul of Sicily — sun, sea, and wind transformed into liquid grace.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Red cherry, strawberry, and rose petals accented by wild herbs and a touch of white pepper.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Soft and graceful, with lively red fruit, subtle spice, and a gentle mineral undertone.
Tertiary
Finish: Fresh and fragrant, leaving a silky impression of berries and flowers.
GastronomyServe slightly chilled (14–16°C) to highlight its bright fruit and light structure. Mazal Frappato is a versatile partner for Mediterranean cuisine — pair it with tuna tartare, caponata, or pasta with tomato and basil. It also pairs beautifully with grilled vegetables, margherita pizza, or light meats like roast chicken and veal scaloppine. For a vegetarian pairing, enjoy it with eggplant parmigiana or lentil stew. A wine that speaks of Sicilian sun and serenity in every glass.
