Tasting CharacteristicsYarden Katzrin Chardonnay 2022 represents the pinnacle of Israeli white-wine craftsmanship. Sourced from the coolest, highest vineyards on the Golan Heights, this wine is fermented and aged in French oak to achieve exceptional depth. The volcanic basalt soils, long ripening season and precise oak handling create a wine that is powerful yet wonderfully refined. Expect richness, freshness and seamless integration — a benchmark New-World Chardonnay with remarkable aging potential.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Ripe pear, golden apple, white peach, lemon curd, toasted brioche, vanilla bean, roasted hazelnut, crème brûlée tones and a subtle mineral lift.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Full-bodied, creamy and concentrated. Layers of stone fruit, citrus cream, honeycomb, almond, toast and fine oak spice. The texture is opulent yet balanced by fresh acidity, giving energy and precision.
Tertiary
Finisz: Long, luxurious and harmonious, with lingering notes of ripe fruit, vanilla butter, toffee, toast and mineral tension.
GastronomyServe at 10–12°C in a large Burgundy-style glass. This opulent Chardonnay is perfect with lobster, scallops, crab, creamy seafood pasta, roast chicken, veal in cream sauce, truffle dishes, mushroom risotto, foie gras terrine and aged Alpine cheeses. Its depth and creamy texture make it ideal for rich, decadent cuisine.
