Tasting CharacteristicsRicasoli Torricella Chardonnay 2022 is produced from estate vineyards surrounding Castello di Brolio, where altitude and limestone-rich soils contribute freshness and structure. Partial barrel fermentation and aging add texture and depth, while stainless steel preserves clarity and vibrancy. The style is restrained and precise rather than overtly opulent, showing how Chardonnay can adapt to Tuscan conditions without losing balance or definition.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Ripe pear, yellow apple, and citrus peel, layered with notes of white flowers, toasted almond, and a hint of vanilla.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Medium-plus bodied with a smooth, rounded texture. Stone fruit and citrus flavors are complemented by gentle creaminess and subtle oak spice. Acidity remains fresh and well-integrated, keeping the wine focused and food-friendly.
Tertiary
Finish: Clean and persistent, with lingering orchard fruit, light nuttiness, and a discreet mineral note.
GastronomyServe at 10–12°C to balance freshness and texture. This Chardonnay pairs well with roasted poultry, veal, creamy pasta dishes, and richer fish such as salmon or sea bass. The combination of acidity and gentle oak also works nicely with semi-aged cheeses and dishes featuring butter or cream, as long as flavors remain refined.
